目前，经编鞋面材料主要以双针床间隔织物为主，常用机型为RDPJ5/1、RDPJ7/1等带有1把贾卡梳的双针床经编机，利用贾卡提花原理，在间隔织物的一面勾勒出鞋面形状、并且采用不同的贾卡组织结构满足不同功能区域以及时尚设计的需求。

横编鞋面材料

横编成形鞋面是指在电脑横机上运用色丝进行编织的可实现完全成形或半成形的具有丰富色彩变化的运动鞋帮面产品，由于其成形程度高，且在减少人工、降低成本、提高生产效率等方面都具有较强优势，近年来是行业发展的一大热点

纬编鞋面材料

纬编设备的编织原理与横机类似，是利用针筒和针盘均能单针电子选针和翻针的功能，除部分局部编织、收放针功能外，横机可实现的提花和结构，纬编上均能实现，但是圆机的效率是横机的10倍左右（取决于不同组织结构），所以圆机生产鞋面材料有很大的潜在优势。
